SPICES!!! We use a lot of dry seasonings with our cooking instead of sauces. If we do include sauces it is typically on the side....and it's most likely barbecue sauce. BUT we incorporate tons of different spices without sacrificing a ton of calories to go with our meals!


Below are our household STAPLES (Thank God for Trader Joe's) along with the homemade seasonings we make.


CAJUN SEASONING

2 TBS Garlic powder

1 TBS Onion powder

1 TBS Oregano

1 TBS Black pepper

1 TBS Cayenne pepper

1 TBS Salt

2 TBS Paprika

1 TSP Red pepper flakes


TACO SEASONING

2 TBS Chili powder

1 TBS Cumin

1 TBS Garlic powder

1 TBS Onion powder

1/2 TBS Salt

1/2 TBS Black pepper

1/2 TBS Oregano


SHWARMA SEASONING (best to use as a "marinade")

2 TSP Paprika

2 TSP Cumin

1 TSP Garlic powder

1 TSP Onion Powder

1 TSP Allspice

1 TSP ground turmeric

1 TSP salt

1/4 tsp Cinnamon

1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper

1TBS Olive oil
